2014 Golden Globes Best Dressed

Happy Monday!!!
 
So, although I did not watch the Golden Globe Awards this year (Sorry, but REVENGE is off the chain lately) I did not miss the red carpet arrivals. I was really impressed for the most part. I think my biggest let downs were Julia Roberts & Drew Barrymore. Why ladies, why?
Julia Roberts, wore some sort of dress and men's shirt combo by Dolce & Gabana while a beautifully pregnant Drew Barrymore wore a flowery Monique Lhuillier. I didn't get either one of the ensembles. Either way, I wasn't focusing too much on the negative, I mean, how could you when you have these stunners (pictured below) walking by.
 
Lets start with my absolute favorite, Maria Menounos in a Max Azria Atelier gown. WHOA x 100!! This beautiful hot pink gown was elegant and racy. Right up my alley. Major props Ms. Menounos, you were sizzling.
 
My 2nd favorite is Ms. Lupita Nyong'o. The beautiful tangerine/red of this Ralph Lauren dress against her gorgeous, perfect chocolate brown skin, just blows my mind. I was not a fan or her hair, but everything else was just so elegant and beautiful, that it just didn't matter.
 
My 3rd favorite is Ms. Colombia, Sophia Vergara, in a gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous, Zac Posen gown. This woman just exudes sexy in everything that she wears. I was not a big fan or the Lorraine Schwartz necklace, but I will admit that the pop of blue is perfection. Bellisima Sophia!!!
 
My 4th favorite is Ms. Olivia Wilde in a gorgeous Emerald/Dark Green, embellished Gucci gown. I cannot tell you how much I love the fact that she rocked this dress, belly and all. She is beautiful, looks beautiful pregnant and I love her edge. Who said Mom's cant ROCK IT?!!
 
My 5th favorite is the always HOT Ms. Kate Beckinsale in a Zuhair Murad trumpet dress. I love the wham of the silver/ grey embellishments of the dress paired with the simple and elegant Chopard jewels.
 
In conclusion, I think everyone looked great and congratulations to all the winners, whoever they are.

F^@K Everything, Be happy

Its almost Friday ya'll!!!
 
My book for 2014 is now open and its pages are blank. I plan to fill it with all the things that make me happy and in order to achieve this, I have to say F%$# it/you a little more. I mean, I don't literally have to say F^%$ it/you, but you know what I mean. At times I can be a bit of a prude, wanting to do whats "right" but what is "right" is now a relative term in my book.
so, F%$# IT!!! and other times I tend to agree or do things I don't necessarily want to do and that's when Ill say F%$# YOU!

So, as i make plans for this EPIC 2014, here are a few quotes that I will use as my mantra.

10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1...

 
I know Ive been on a MAJOR hiatus, but this will all be changing very soon. There's been a lot going on in my life these past few months and I have not had the brain power to concentrate on my blogging. Some updates are...I finally bought a new camera! Yay!!! I welcomed my baby niece, Khloe, on 12/26/2013, and I'm getting married this coming year. I am very much looking forward to all the wonderful things 2014 will bring. Some of my goals for 2014 are to get more involved in the charities that I love, exercise and eat healthier and to LIVE more. There's a commercial for an upcoming TV show and a woman speaking says "Right now I'm just existing, I want to live". That message got to me and I'm deciding to take more chances, be more patient, allow myself to be more silly and simply LIVE. Cause if you're not LIVING, you're DIEING (Morbid, I know, but think about it)
 
So, as I say farewell to what was a nice year for me, I hope you, too, are saying goodbye to a nice year and that 2014 will bring you all the happiness, love, health and adventure you desire.

What I Wore: Fall at Work

Happy Thursday everyone.
I am so sorry that I have not posted anything new lately. To be honest, I have been so darn busy lately. Planning a DIY wedding, home, family, holidays and work. I honestly do not have enough hours in the day. I also haven't been able to fix or replace my SLR which is a big bummer for me. I love taking pictures and one of my main focuses for this blog was to post my daily outfits and how I pair my favorite items.
Anywhoo, I hope you all are enjoying the cooler temperatures and are gearing up for an AMAZING holiday. I know I am.

Lust v Must: Fall Boots

As soon as fall colors begin to make their way out and the breeze begins to cool down, I cant help but want to buy every pair of boots that I see. Unfortunately, the warm Miami weather stops me on my tracks and says "Woman, it'll only cool down to about 70 degrees this winter"and it is then that I realize that it really isn't worth spending hundreds of dollars on those suede Oxblood boots that I'll only have the opportunity to wear once, twice if I'm lucky. There are, however, a few styles that I do believe are pretty classic and much worth the investment. My favorite is a black leather riding boot. They're comfortable, versatile and I don't consider it a crime to wear them year round. Its not like Im wearing Uggs and my bikini (Sorry if Ive offended anyone). A few other pairs that I think are acceptable year round are a trendy going out bootie, a sexy knee high black leather boot, pair this with a short dress and BAM, Sassy,  a cognac boot, heeled or flat, pair this with denim shorts and a flowy top, and finally a plain black bootie that you can wear to work. Here Ive listed my favorite pairs in a budget friendly option and break the bank option
