Lust v Must : Leather Booties

Lust v Must : Leather Booties

I've been on the hunt for a pair of black leather booties that aren't tooooo Fall-ish and not tooooo Summer-ish. Since I live in Miami, I wanted something I could transfer from season to season with out looking ridic.

So, while Insta- stalking for NYFW photos and fashion inspiration, I came across a blogger wearing the Vince booties. Found them and bammm.. a whopping $ 450.00. Definitely out of mommas budget. So I continued to search for booties, leather booties, peep toe booties (any combination that might get me a similar style) and BAMMM (a good BAMMM this time) Nine West came through with the "Tiiptoe" black leather booties, which, I actually like better (no, not just cause of the price tag) than the Vince booties. They also come in dark brown leather and a dark grey leather.

Any whoo, I was stoked with my find and wanted to share. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

XoXo,

Jess

Kimono YES! Please

Kimono YES! Please

As of late, my fashion obsession has been the Kimono jacket (Not the traditional Japanese Kimono).
These trendy and comfy tops tend to be sheer, flowy and cardigan-ish like.
They are super versatile, making them perfect for day or night.
I usually pair them with skinny jeans or distressed shorts and have used them as beach cover ups, but you can wear them with practically anything.

How do you like to style your Kimonos?

Here are some looks I love.

Our Wedding May 31st, 2014

After 10 years of dating, several places which we called home and best of all, our son Maxon, Ronald and I tied the knot. Ronnie and I planned the wedding (it was SUPER stressful) and with the help of our amazing family and friends, our day came to life. I cant thank all of you enough for helping us carry out our vision. Our goal was to have a little tradition, but A LOT of fun. I think i speak for all the guests, especially those that lasted till 3am, that we succeeded at that. We partied like damn ROCK STARS. Our wedding was exactly what we dreamed of and more. We were surrounded by those who matter to us, those who support us and those who have been there through this roller-coaster of a ride; our Family & close friends.
We love you all, more than words could ever say.

And so, I share a few pictures that I received from friends.
(Thank you Frank, Deeg, Rudy & Sophia for taking amazing pictures)

2014 Golden Globes Best Dressed

Happy Monday!!!

So, although I did not watch the Golden Globe Awards this year (Sorry, but REVENGE is off the chain lately) I did not miss the red carpet arrivals. I was really impressed for the most part. I think my biggest let downs were Julia Roberts & Drew Barrymore. Why ladies, why?
Julia Roberts, wore some sort of dress and men's shirt combo by Dolce & Gabana while a beautifully pregnant Drew Barrymore wore a flowery Monique Lhuillier. I didn't get either one of the ensembles. Either way, I wasn't focusing too much on the negative, I mean, how could you when you have these stunners (pictured below) walking by.

Lets start with my absolute favorite, Maria Menounos in a Max Azria Atelier gown. WHOA x 100!! This beautiful hot pink gown was elegant and racy. Right up my alley. Major props Ms. Menounos, you were sizzling.

My 2nd favorite is Ms. Lupita Nyong'o. The beautiful tangerine/red of this Ralph Lauren dress against her gorgeous, perfect chocolate brown skin, just blows my mind. I was not a fan or her hair, but everything else was just so elegant and beautiful, that it just didn't matter.

My 3rd favorite is Ms. Colombia, Sophia Vergara, in a gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous, Zac Posen gown. This woman just exudes sexy in everything that she wears. I was not a big fan or the Lorraine Schwartz necklace, but I will admit that the pop of blue is perfection. Bellisima Sophia!!!

My 4th favorite is Ms. Olivia Wilde in a gorgeous Emerald/Dark Green, embellished Gucci gown. I cannot tell you how much I love the fact that she rocked this dress, belly and all. She is beautiful, looks beautiful pregnant and I love her edge. Who said Mom's cant ROCK IT?!!

My 5th favorite is the always HOT Ms. Kate Beckinsale in a Zuhair Murad trumpet dress. I love the wham of the silver/ grey embellishments of the dress paired with the simple and elegant Chopard jewels.

In conclusion, I think everyone looked great and congratulations to all the winners, whoever they are.

XO,
Jess

F^@K Everything, Be happy

Its almost Friday ya'll!!!

My book for 2014 is now open and its pages are blank. I plan to fill it with all the things that make me happy and in order to achieve this, I have to say F%$# it/you a little more. I mean, I don't literally have to say F^%$ it/you, but you know what I mean. At times I can be a bit of a prude, wanting to do whats "right" but what is "right" is now a relative term in my book.
so, F%$# IT!!! and other times I tend to agree or do things I don't necessarily want to do and that's when Ill say F%$# YOU!

So, as i make plans for this EPIC 2014, here are a few quotes that I will use as my mantra.

For what its worth, its never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you're proud of and if you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.
- Eric Roth

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sail.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
-Mark Twain

I hope you all have an inspiring year and that you do all of the things that make you happy. No matter who is watching or judging.
